Secret Obsession

posted Wednesday, 28 January 2009
Notes: plum, mace, rose de damas, Egyptian jasmine, French orange flower, tuberose, cashmere wood, burnt amber, Australian sandalwood

I find Secret Obsession to be so far from the original 80s fragrance that I wonder why Calvin Klein chose to make the connection. Secret Obsession is not a flanker, nor is it as good as the original (at least not to this person who wore it almost exclusively in the 80s). That said, it's not bad.

Secret Obsession is a plummy floral, mostly a subtle tuberose, with a subtle ambery/woodsy drydown. It's not a loud fragrance - I spritz myself with abandon and haven't killed anyone with it yet. That is to say, yes, I bought myself some with a Sephora gift card. What can I say, I like the bottle. :)
