While in NY for Fashion Week, I stopped at Bergdorf's to see what was new. On my way to the Paul & Joe counter to pick up some eye cream, I was caught by an Omorovicza SA and offered a facial of sorts. I had plenty of time to kill, so I acquiesced. I don't usually go for this sort of thing, since I have very sensitive skin that is also oily, and I hate trying new things that might tip the careful balance I strive for in my skin. But, as a beauty blogger, it's my responsibility to test things once in a while.

Omorovicza is a Hungarian line of mineral-rich skin products exclusive to Bergie's, Neiman Marcus, and the Royal Palms Spa in Phoenix in the US. Exclusive - yes. Expensive - another yes.

My treatment included:

Gentle Buffing Cleanser - Gentle yet effective, this high performance facial exfoliator whisks away complexion-dulling dead skin cells and impurities to reveal softer, smoother, more radiant skin.

Queen of Hungary Mist - Omorovicza revived a 14th century beauty "recipe" originally concocted for Queen Elizabeth of Hungary to create a purifying, toning and protective treatment with multiple skin-rejuvenating benefits.

Reviving Eye Cream - Stress, fatigue and environmental factors can all take their toll on the delicate eye area. This highly effective cream puts the sparkle back, providing specialist, protective care every day.

Rose Lifting Serum - Beautifully light and swiftly absorbed, this lifting serum relaxes facial muscles, instantly lifts and firms, and leaves the skin glowing with youthful radiance.

Complexion Enhancer - Mineral SPF 15. Providing SPF 15 protection from sun rays, this tinted complexion enhancer conceals imperfections and gives the skin an even matte finish, whilst preventing premature aging.

My favorite products were the toner mist, a step I usually skip in my skincare routine, and the Complexion Enhancer which looked and felt a lot like my favorite tinted moisturizer, although without the moisturizer. According to the SA, a certified aesthetician, SPF is more effective in products that don't also have moisturizer in them.

I came away with soft and dewy skin that looked pretty good considering I no longer had any makeup on. I got a bunch of samples to try and have a feeling I'm also going to fall for the cleanser and eye cream. Time to start saving my $!
