Although
Chandler Burr seemed to dislike the new Chloé fragrance intensely, I can't say that I agree with him. I find that many commercial scents smell exactly that way - commercial. And cheap. But Chloé is a pretty fragrance, all light florals, smelling rather like a flower shop that sells a lot of roses. The drydown has a bit of warmth from the amber and a bare touch of woodsiness.
I don't really like excessively floral fragrances, but there's something about Chloé that stirs up childhood memories of shopping with my Mom. Like the linens department in a big store, but not smelling like linen at all. I know, I'm weird. :)
Chloé is available at Saks, $110 for 2.5 oz.
